About the Science and Enterprise Park
Situated immediately adjacent to the University campus, one mile away from the M1, Loughborough University Science and Enterprise park is becoming one of the highest profile science parks in the UK. At around 50,000sqm of floor space, the site is already one of the largest science parks in the UK, Phase 2 is being developed for a further 34,000sqm and there is scope for further significant development, in line with the Regional Economic Strategy.
Loughborough University is developing the Park with support from emda, the East Midlands Development Agency. Attracting and developing dynamic companies is critical to emda's ambition for the East Midlands to become a top 20 region in Europe. The Park is also a key part of the University's strategy to maintain its leading reputation for engaging with industry to push boundaries in response to global and national challenges.
The scale of the University's impact is affirmed by its strategic research partnerships with major organisations in the energy, transport, healthcare and sport sectors, many of which have already established key operations on the Science and Enterprise Park. These partnerships are a distinctive feature of the Park and future tenants will be encouraged to form mutually beneficial links with the University.
